2026 Workshop in Macroeconomics

The Department of Economics at the University of St Andrews Business School is pleased to announce a workshop in Macroeconomics to be held 21–22 May, 2026.  The workshop will take place in-person in St Andrews, Scotland.

A keynote lecture will be given by Fiorella De Fiore (BIS).

We invite submissions of original research papers in monetary economics and macroeconomic policy

Submissions

Submit your paper by email to [email protected]. Full papers are preferred, but extended abstracts will also be considered. 

The deadline for submissions will be 23 January 2026 although early submission is encouraged. We aim to notify authors by mid February.

Venue and Accommodation

The workshop will take place in the beautiful Castlecliffe building in St Andrews.  We have pre-booked accommodation which can be secured through us. Presenters will be required to cover travel and accommodation costs.  We have a limited budget to partially support travel and accommodation for academics and PhD students.

Non-presenters

You are welcome to attend even if you do not plan to present. There will be a fee of £100 (£60 for PhD students) which will include access to the workshop, coffee breaks, lunches and a workshop dinner. There is no fee for presenters. Registration details will be announced in due course.
